Girl Icon Training is a program initiated by Milaan India dedicated to empowering women in India. The program aims to empower women to become agents of change in their communities and advocate for their own rights through a three-prong approach:

1. Train 100 Girl Icon Fellows (girls aged 12-18 in rural communities from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh) to advocate for their rights to education, safety, and health
2. Promote community outreach where each Girl Icon Fellow teaches comprehensive life skills education including topics such as active citizenship, adolescent health, and social inclusion to adolescent girls in their respective communities
3. Educate and engage the communities to invest in girls through 15 social action projects such as theme-based street plays and movie screenings which will be followed by discussions at the community level

Ultimately, the girl-led leadership program is designed to achieve 4 key outcomes:

1. Address gender inequality in education
2. Improve adolescent health and well-being
3. Prevent child marriage
4. Prevent violence against women and girls
