What is the overall process?

Host families sign up to host personal care kit service in their homes. They procure the items in the shopping list and pack the individual items in a ziploc bag and deliver at the address above.

Please use the shopping list provided. Student volunteers will get credit for volunteer hours. Our Daily Bread will provide a receipt for the donation that can be used for tax purposes.

What is the Personal Care Kit Service?

This is a program created by Caring Hands in which our volunteers deliver personal care kits to local homeless shelters. We deliver 48 personal care kits on every first and third Sundays of each month to the homeless shelter Our Daily Bread, located in Sunnyvale, CA. Each kit contains an entire month’s worth of toiletry supplies for an individual in the homeless shelter. Once a month Our Daily Bread hands out our personal care kits to the homeless.

What does each personal care kit contain?

Each personal care kit contains a toothpaste, toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, razor, shaving gel, lotion, and hand sanitizer. Please see our personal care kit items page for details.

What is the address for dropoff for personal care kits?

The address is 1646 Kennewick Drive, Sunnyvale, CA. It is the residence of Donna Morris of Our Daily Bread who will distribute the kits to the homeless.
