Yamini Foundation is an organization that provides schooling to children with special needs in Hyderabad, India. Yamini was founded in 2005 when Mr. Srinivasa Rao could not find adequate schooling for his daughter Yamini with special needs. Not one to be dissuaded, he took matters into his own hands and started a school for children with special needs. The school is known for its dedication to its 50+ students and unique focus on supporting  not just children with special needs, but also their families. Not only does the school provide teaching on life skills and promoting self-confidence, but it also provides resources such as health care and meals. Caring Hand volunteers first visited Yamini Foundation in summer 2013 and were inspired by the organization’s commitment.  We sponsored midday meals for the students and paid the rent for the educational facilities in 2014.
