From 2018 to 2019, Caring Hands renovated the educational facilities at Shyampur School, improving the lives of 117 students grades 1-4 attending the school at the time. Shyampur School is a government-funded public school that has been running since 2000. The school was in a poor state at the time with no toilets, walls and floor not cemented, and doors and windows damaged. Caring Hands improved the school infrastructure by cementing the mud floors and walls, constructing toilets, and building a second floor for additional classrooms in addition to providing classroom furniture. We hope to create a better educational environment for these students so they may have the tools from their schooling to prosper in life.
