Odisha Association for the Blind (OAB) is a non-profit organization founded in 1975 that provides essential services including schooling and vocational training to the visually impaired in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. In collaboration with OAB, Caring Hands decided to renovate the residential facilities for OAB students and staff, as the facilities had fallen into severe disrepair. We plan to improve the infrastructure of OAB in Kharavela Nagar, Bhubaneswar, to make it a safe, healthy, and vibrant environment for the visually impaired in Odisha to continue with their rehabilitation and vocational training that will help them on their path to self-sustenance. Renovations include reconstruction of the boys and girls’ hostels as well as staff quarters.
