“Light Beyond Vision” provides college scholarships to visually impaired students from impoverished backgrounds  with the goal of empowering them to be self-sufficient. In the past, 90% of visually impaired students would discontinue their studies. To address this disparity, we decided to help provide financial assistance. The cost of sponsoring the education of one student was Rs.2500 or $34 dollars per month towards tuition and boarding fees. Many of the sponsors maintained regular contact with their sponsored child and provided encouragement and guidance. 

In 2022-2023, we supported college education for 21 visually impaired students from Odisha, India.
