“Light Beyond Vision” provides college scholarships to visually impaired students from impoverished backgrounds with the goal of empowering them to be self-sufficient.

About 90% of visually impaired students discontinue their studies after graduating from special school for visually challenged. They do not attend classes in an integrated classroom. The chances for them to get integrated into society and become independent is very low. To address this disparity, Caring Hands decided to help provide financial assistance to blind students who wished to attend college.

Caring Hands is carefully selecting visually impaired kids after understanding their background and aspirations. In addition to sponsoring their college education, Caring Hands is offering these students career guidance and encouragement with the goal of improving their self-esteem and empowering them to be self-sufficient.

The cost of sponsoring the education of one child is only INR Rs.2500 or $34 dollars per month which covers their education and sustenance. But it will make a world of difference in their lives!

Since 2022 Caring Hands has been supporting college education for 21 visually impaired students from Odisha, India.
