Khas Sankdaha Sanitation Project
Transforming Khas Sankdaha village in rural West Bengal
Imagine a child who can’t go to school because of illness from unsafe water. Imagine a mother who fears for her family’s health every single day. For the people of Khas Sankdaha, a remote village in West Bengal’s Sundarban region, this is a painful reality. Lacking basic sanitation and clean water, they face a daily struggle against disease and hardship.
But together, we can change their story.
With the incredible success of Phase I (funded by Rotary), which installed 48 WASH units, we now have the chance to complete this life-saving mission. Our goal is to fund Phase II, which will provide 30 more families with a complete WASH unit—a private toilet, a septic tank, and a clean water tube well. This isn’t just about building toilets; it’s about building a healthier, brighter future for 300–400 villagers.
Your support will do more than just provide sanitation:
- Improve Health: Give villagers the gift of health, protecting them from preventable diseases and saving lives.
- Empower Women & Girls: Restore dignity and safety for women, and help ensure girls can stay in school.
- Create Lasting Change: Support a project designed for the long term, with community training and local “WASH Ambassadors” to ensure sustainability for generations.
Join us and help make Khas Sankdaha a model village—a place where every person has access to the dignity of clean water and safe sanitation. Your donation is not just a gift; it is a vital investment in a future of hope, health, and opportunity.
