Nestled in one of the most underdeveloped regions of West Bengal, Kriparampur State Plan Free Primary School faces significant challenges due to frequent monsoons, cyclones, and widespread poverty. The school’s infrastructure is in disrepair, with mud buildings, inadequate sanitation, and a lack of basic classroom furniture. These conditions have contributed to low attendance and high dropout rates, making it difficult for children to pursue consistent education.The renovation project aims to revitalize the school by repairing existing structures, new classroom and new toilets for boys and girls, and furnishing classrooms with essential items. These improvements will create a safe and welcoming environment that encourages learning and regular attendance. The school serves children from families of agricultural laborers and hawkers, many of whom are landless and face economic hardship. With limited government support, the community relies heavily on local donations to meet basic educational needs. By upgrading the school’s facilities, this project will empower the community to support their children’s education and foster long-term development.
