Description

Foundation for Freedom, our sister organization, had built a beautiful school, George Washington Carver Academy, about 6 years ago up on the hills of Leogane that served 120 Haitian children. In October 2016, hurricane Mathew caused major damage ripping off half the roof along with its solar panels that supplied electricity to the classrooms. Our volunteer, Dr. Sakti Das, visited the school in November 2016 and saw the devastation first-hand. Caring Hands Foundation partnered with the school authorities and funded the reconstruction of the school.
