Water supply for drinking and irrigation for school in Haiti 2019
Project: Water supply for drinking and irrigation in school in Nordiest, Haiti Thanks for Caring hands support to recover school during 2010 earthquake. As the school is running well, we have now focused our attention to establishing forest garden in this mountainous neighborhood of the school for steady supply of fruits and vegetations for the children. The garden grows well and produces nourishing fruits during the rainy season. But rest of the year there is hardly any water supply for irrigation or drinking. The mountainous area however has good subsoil water that can be brought up through deep wells and pumps. We are requesting funding from Caring Hands so that wells can be bored, and water can be pumped up and stored throughout the year for drinking and irrigation for plants and vegetations.
