Caring Hands Foundation believes that individuals can make a profound difference by actively exercising their ability to create positive change. The mission of Caring Hands is to provide an easy platform for volunteerism so that people can contribute positively in their local community through community outreach programs and in the global community by adopting well-contained projects of existing organizations overseas.
The Lunch Bag Service program run by Caring Hands Foundation is a testament to the spirit of volunteerism prevalent in our community. Caring Hands volunteers take turns signing up to make 150 bagged lunches at their homes and deliver the bagged lunches to homeless shelter or soup kitchen every Sunday. During winter months, our volunteers deliver on Saturdays as well. This program has run uninterrupted since February, 2012. Caring Hands also conducts collection drives periodically to provide other essential amenities like socks, blankets and jackets to homeless shelters.
Caring Hands has adopted several ailing projects in developing countries in order to address basic needs related to literacy, health care and sanitation in those communities. Our dedicated volunteers carefully select the projects and then monitor the execution of these projects closely. Caring Hands believes in providing actual solutions and seeing the projects through from planning to completion.
